Smell the Roses
I think we writers, as a collective group, can be very hard on ourselves. We’re always pushing for more, never satisfied with what we’ve accomplished, never patting ourselves on the back when we deserve it. Speaking for myself, I rarely stop to smell the roses. I get a new contract or a great review, and I’m immediately looking forward, anticipating the next triumph.
Well, for today, I’m going to enjoy the moment. And I encourage you all to do the same.
