Why I Can’t Stand my F***%&% Computer!

It’s been a while but finally I’ve remembered to do a TT. Today’s subject is why I hate my computer so much. (Forgive the ranting)
1. It takes at least five minutes to open a programme.
2. Even though I have broadband, I don’t get the speed benefit because my computer is so slow.
3. I waste at least an hour per day trying to open applications.
4. I can’t use IM.
5. The slowness is giving me serious anger issues.
6. It’s so slow that I don’t get nearly as much as I want to do done.
7. It takes about 30 minutes to shut down.
8. It’s got scratches on the screen.
9. It takes forever for the printer to connect with the computer (this is a moot point really since the damn printer is BROKEN!)
10. I don’t get to visit all the blogs I like on a daily basis coz it takes to damn long.
11. I can’t run a defrag because my computer space is so full.
12. I’ve already spent 400 euro on repairs and it’s only 2 years old!
13. It’s just so damn SLOW!
You can probably guess I’m ready to tear my hair out right now.
It’s time to get a new laptop, don’t you think?
P.S. 1500 words yesterday. Woohoo!

OMG!!! How frustrating. I hope you can figure SOMETHING out. And GREAT word count!!! Not having IM capability would be enough to send me to the nut house. LOL.

Sorry to hear your ‘puter is giving you such a hard time. The lagging can be caused by a lot of things. 1) The cache needs to be cleaned. Install CCleaner, and watch it erase all the garbage accumulated by Explorer and other nonsense like installers and updates. 2) Your ‘puter has malware and spyware. Again, cleaning the cache will help. Also install Ad-Ware and Spybot to help you eliminate those nasty thingies lodge in your computer. 3) Not enough memory. You might want to have at least 1GB of RAM. 4) Use another browser for faster connection. Try Mozilla’s Firefox. It’s the fastest so far, and without all the creepy stuff that comes when opening websites. 5) Defragmentize the hard disk.

Oh, boy. I would have thrown that thing out the window by now. LOL!
(Congrats on the writing progress)

I know what you mean! My previous computer did that and when I got a new one, I had a look at the old one and it had XP - but DIDN’T have enough RAM for it. :-O Who in the world decided to do that - so I had an inferior computer the moment I bought it.

Hey Ava! I think it might be time for a new computer. *grin*
Seriously, a lot of these are the reason I upgraded last year. Amazing how much more you can get done. I also recommend google reader for keeping on top of all your favorite blogs. It’s a huge time saver!
